At Steeple Claydon School, our aim is to provide high-quality Oracy education. We want every child to ‘find their voice’ – to communicate effectively.
Our aim is to remove communication barriers and enable students to be confident and effective communicators when they leave our schools. Teaching children oracy skills will not only increase their confidence in talking, but equip them for the future.
We want to elevate speaking to the same level as reading and writing. We use the ‘Oracy Framework’ from Voice 21, which is made up of four strands – Physical, Linguistic, Cognitive and Social & Emotional.
