Application portal for school places opens: between 5 November 2025 and 15 January 2026.
Parents Information Evening for September 2026 Reception class: Wednesday 10th June 2026 at 5pm
Transition Day for Reception: Tuesday 7th July 2026 9:30-11:30
Phased Start for Reception children in September:
Dates to be confirmed. The phased start will consist of:
Day 1: children in school morning only (9:00-11:30am)
Day 2: children in school for morning, lunch and play (9:00am-12:30pm)
Day 3: children in school full time

Please contact the school office to determine if there are spaces in your required year group, and to arrange a tour of the school. Applications for in-year transfers are managed by Buckinghamshire Council via the link below.
Preschool
The Board of Governors and the Head Teacher are responsible for setting the Pre-school admissions policy. If you are interested in registering your child for our Pre-school provision, please contact Mrs Bowerman via email bursar@steepleclaydon.bucks.sch.uk, or complete a Register of Interest Form
Admissions Policy for all year groups
As a school maintained by the local authority, Steeple Claydon School adheres to Buckinghamshire Council admission arrangements.
Once Buckinghamshire Council has notified parents that a place at our school has been allocated, you will be contacted by the school office to arrange a visit to the school for you and your child. Once a place has been accepted you will need to complete an application pack which provides us with important information about your child, we will also need to see the child’s birth certificate and a utility bill as proof of address.
Our admission numbers are 30 in each year group.
